A recreational focal point for the town of Danbury, Tarrywile Mansion and Park is a 722-acre land preserve ideal for picnicking, hiking, and camping. With a garden near the mansion that is based on the book "Where the Wild Things Are" and annual events such as the Haunted Hayride, the park is a beloved destination for many families. Brochures are available in the mansion office for self-guided tours of the gardens, mansion, and park. It lies just south of downtown, near Rogers Park.
