Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Danbury Railway Museum is comprised of a 1903 train station and rail yard. The museum offers exhibits on railroad history, vintage rail equipment, a Lionel train layout and seasonal train excursions. Visitors can view such unique items as the New Haven RR 95-foot long operating turntable and a Boston & Maine 1455 Steam Engine. Residing in downtown Danbury, the historic station and rail yard are close to the Danbury Music Centre.
Open Nov - Mar: Wed. - Sat. 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.; Sun. noon - 4:00 p.m.; Apr - Oct: Tue. - Sat. 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; Sun. noon - 5:00 p.m.
Adults $6; Seniors (60+) $5; Children (3-12) $4; Children under 3 are free. Seasonal train rides $3 - $10.
